4:19 wind . . . wings. A wordplay on the Hebrew word meaning “wind” or “spirit” is probably intended. Not only was a destructive storm wind of divine judgment about to sweep away the people (Job 1:19), but “the spirit of whoredom” (v. 12; 5:4) was leading them to ruin.
