4:13–16 Left without excuse, Moses still tries to decline his commission. But the Lord has already summoned his brother Aaron. The relation of Moses to Aaron sheds light on the nature of prophecy: Aaron will be a mouthpiece for Moses just as a prophet is for God (v. 16). See also 6:30; 7:1.
