Talmai [Tăl'maī]—bold, spirited or my furrows.

1. A son of Anak in Hebron and probably the founder of the family of Anakims, driven from Hebron by Caleb (Num. 13:22; Josh. 15:14; Judg. 1:10).
2. A king of Geshur, whose daughter Maacah was one of David’s wives and Absalom’s mother (2 Sam. 3:3; 13:37; 1 Chron. 3:2).
