Rapha, Raphah

Rapha, Raphah [Rā'phă]—he has healed, fearful or relaxation.

  1. The fifth son of Benjamin (1 Chron. 8:2).
  2. A descendant of Jonathan, Saul’s son (1 Chron. 8:37). Called Rephaiah in 1 Chronicles 9:43.
  3. An ancestor of certain Philistine warriors slain in David’s time and called “the giants” (2 Sam. 21:16, 20, 21; 1 Chron. 20:4-8).
