Rabshakeh [Răb’shakeh]—head of the cupbearers. The title of the Assyrian military official under King Sennacherib, who accompanied Rabsaris on the journey to Hezekiah to demand Jerusalem’s surrender (2 Kings 18:17-37; 19:4-8; Isa. 36:2-22; 37:4-8).
