Hanun

Hanun [Hā'nŭn]—enjoying favor, gracious or he that rests.

  1. The son of Nahash, king of the Ammonites, who resented David’s message of condolence which resulted in a most disastrous war (2 Sam. 10:1-4; 1 Chron. 19:2-6).
  2. A son of Zalaph who assisted in the repair of a portion of the wall (Neh. 3:30).
  3. Another Jew who, with the people of Zanoah, repaired one of the gates of the wall of Jerusalem (Neh. 3:13).
