Crescens [Crĕs'cens]—increase. A companion of Paul in his final imprisonment, sent by the apostle to Galatia (2 Tim. 4:10). Legend has it that he was one of the seventy disciples sent fourth by Christ and that he became a bishop of Chalcedon.
