Ang Pulong Sa Dios
Ang Kalooy sa Ginoo sa Juda ug Israel
10 Pangayo sa Ginoo ug ulan sa panahon sa tingtubo sa mga tanom, kay siya ang nagahimo sa dag-om. Siya ang nagahatag ug ulan ngadto sa mga tawo ug sa tanom sa kaumahan.
2 Sa pagkatinuod, dili matuohan ang mga dios-dios ug ang mga manalagna. Nagahatag sila ug sayop nga kahulogan sa mga damgo. Walay pulos ang ilang mga pulong sa pagdasig. Busa naglatagaw ang katawhan sa Israel sama sa karnero. Nagaantos sila tungod kay wala silay pangulo.[a]
3 Miingon ang Ginoo, “Nasuko ako pag-ayo sa mga taga-laing dapit nga nangulo sa akong katawhan; silotan ko gayod sila. Kay hinumdoman ko ang mga karnero, nga mao ang katawhan sa Juda. Himuon ko ang Juda nga daw mga kabayo nga panggira nga makahatag ug kadungganan. 4 Magagikan kanila ang mga pangulo nga daw pundasyon, ugsok sa tolda, ug pana nga alang sa gira. 5 Maghiusa ang katawhan sa Juda ug mahisama sila sa kusgang mga sundalo nga mobuntog sa ilang mga kaaway nga daw mga lapok lang nga tunob-tunoban nila diha sa kadalanan. Makiggira sila tungod kay kauban nila ako, ug buntogon nila ang mga tigkabayo.
6 “Lig-onon ko ang katawhan sa Juda ug luwason ko ang katawhan sa Israel.[b] Pabalikon ko sila sa ilang dapit tungod kay nalooy ako kanila. Ug tungod kay ako ang Ginoo nga ilang Dios, tubagon ko ang ilang pag-ampo. Busa daw sama ra nga wala ko sila isalikway. 7 Ang katawhan sa Israel[c] mahisama sa kusgang mga sundalo. Magmalipayon sila sama sa tawo nga nakainom ug bino. Kini nga kadaogan mahinumdoman sa ilang mga kaliwat ug maglipay sila tungod sa akong gihimo. 8 Tawgon ko ang akong katawhan ug tigomon ko sila. Luwason ko gayod sila, ug modaghan sila sama kaniadto. 9 Bisan gipatibulaag ko sila sa ubang mga nasod, mahinumdoman nila ako didto. Magpabilin sila nga buhi apil ang ilang kabataan, ug mopauli sila sa ilang dapit. 10 Papaulion ko sila gikan sa Ehipto ug Asiria, ug papuy-on ko sila sa Gilead ug sa Lebanon. Manobra ang ilang gidaghanon hangtod dili na sila moigo sa ilang yuta. 11 Motabok sila ug dagat nga baloron apan moundang ang mga balod. Ug bisan ang Suba sa Nilo momala. Ang mapasigarbohon nga Asiria ipaubos ug ang gahom sa Ehipto mahanaw. 12 Lig-onon ko ang akong katawhan tungod kay anaa sila kanako, ug mosunod sila kanako. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagaingon niini.”

The Lord Will Care for Judah
10 Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime;
it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms.
He gives showers of rain(A) to all people,
and plants of the field(B) to everyone.
2 The idols(C) speak deceitfully,
diviners(D) see visions that lie;
they tell dreams(E) that are false,
they give comfort in vain.(F)
Therefore the people wander like sheep
oppressed for lack of a shepherd.(G)
3 “My anger burns against the shepherds,
and I will punish the leaders;(H)
for the Lord Almighty will care
for his flock, the people of Judah,
and make them like a proud horse in battle.(I)
4 From Judah will come the cornerstone,(J)
from him the tent peg,(K)
from him the battle bow,(L)
from him every ruler.
5 Together they[a] will be like warriors in battle
trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets.(M)
They will fight because the Lord is with them,
and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame.(N)
6 “I will strengthen(O) Judah
and save the tribes of Joseph.
I will restore them
because I have compassion(P) on them.(Q)
They will be as though
I had not rejected them,
for I am the Lord their God
and I will answer(R) them.
7 The Ephraimites will become like warriors,
and their hearts will be glad as with wine.(S)
Their children will see it and be joyful;
their hearts will rejoice(T) in the Lord.
8 I will signal(U) for them
and gather them in.
Surely I will redeem them;
they will be as numerous(V) as before.
9 Though I scatter them among the peoples,
yet in distant lands they will remember me.(W)
They and their children will survive,
and they will return.
10 I will bring them back from Egypt
and gather them from Assyria.(X)
I will bring them to Gilead(Y) and Lebanon,
and there will not be room(Z) enough for them.
11 They will pass through the sea of trouble;
the surging sea will be subdued
and all the depths of the Nile will dry up.(AA)
Assyria’s pride(AB) will be brought down
and Egypt’s scepter(AC) will pass away.(AD)
12 I will strengthen(AE) them in the Lord
and in his name they will live securely,(AF)”
declares the Lord.
