12 training us that having denied ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live sound-mindedly[a] and righteously and godly in the present age, 13 while waiting-for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 Who gave Himself for us in order that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and cleanse for Himself a special[b] people— zealots[c] for good works.
