⁵⁰He prepared a path for his anger;
he did not spare them from death
but gave them over to the plague.

⁵⁰He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;

⁶I will strike^(A) down those who live in this city—both man and beast—and they will die of a terrible plague.^(B)

⁶And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.
