Psalm 58:9

⁹Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns^(A)—
whether they be green or dry—the wicked will be swept away.^[a]^(B)

King James Version

⁹Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

¹²They swarmed around me like bees,^(A)
but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;^(B)
in the name of the Lord I cut them down.^(C)

¹²They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

⁶Like the crackling of thorns^(A) under the pot,
so is the laughter^(B) of fools.
This too is meaningless.

⁶For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.
