14 Veisuunjohtajalle; Daavidin virsi. Hullu sanoo sydämessänsä: "Ei ole Jumalaa". Turmiollinen ja iljettävä on heidän menonsa; ei ole ketään, joka tekee, mikä hyvää on.
2 Herra katsoo taivaasta ihmislapsiin nähdäksensä, onko ketään ymmärtäväistä, ketään, joka etsii Jumalaa.
3 Mutta kaikki ovat poikenneet pois, kaikki tyynni kelvottomiksi käyneet; ei ole ketään, joka tekee sitä, mikä hyvää on, ei yhden yhtäkään.
4 Eivätkö he mitään käsitä, kaikki nuo väärintekijät, jotka saavat leipänsä syömällä minun kansaani eivätkä avuksensa huuda Herraa?
5 Siinä heidät valtaa kauhu, sillä Jumala on läsnä vanhurskasten sukukunnassa.
6 Te saatatte häpeään sorretun aikeet, mutta Herra on heidän turvansa.
7 Oi, että Israelin pelastus tulisi Siionista! Kun Herra kääntää kansansa kohtalon, silloin Jaakob riemuitsee, Israel iloitsee.

For the director of music. Of David.
1 The fool[a] says in his heart,
“There is no God.”(B)
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good.
2 The Lord looks down from heaven(C)
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,(D)
any who seek God.(E)
3 All have turned away,(F) all have become corrupt;(G)
there is no one who does good,(H)
not even one.(I)
4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?(J)
