²¹Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished,
but those who are righteous will go free.^(A)

²¹Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

¹⁸He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Because he had given his hand in pledge^(A) and yet did all these things, he shall not escape.
