^5 (A)We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic,

¹³ Is it ^[a]not enough that you have brought us up out of a ^(A)land flowing with milk and honey ^(B)to put us to death in the wilderness, but you would also lord it over us?

^3 (A)The people thus contended with Moses and spoke, saying, “^(B)If only we had breathed our last ^(C)when our brothers breathed their last before Yahweh! ^4 (D)Why then have you brought the assembly of Yahweh into this wilderness, for us and our beasts to die ^[a]here?

⁵ And the people spoke against God and against Moses, “^(A)Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no ^[a]food and no water, and ^[b](B)we loathe this miserable food.”
