Nehemiah 3:5

⁵The next section was repaired by the men of Tekoa,^(A) but their nobles would not put their shoulders to the work under their supervisors.^[a]

Nehemiah 3:5

⁵And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord.

¹¹So I rebuked the officials and asked them, “Why is the house of God neglected?”^(A) Then I called them together and stationed them at their posts.

¹¹Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.
