True and False Disciples

²¹ “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’^(A) will enter the kingdom of heaven,^(B) but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.^(C)

⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven^(A) is my brother and sister and mother.”

²⁸ He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God^(A) and obey it.”^(B)

¹³ For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey^(A) the law who will be declared righteous. ¹⁴ (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law,^(B) they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. ¹⁵ They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)

¹¹ Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness^(A) to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means.
