Leviticus 3:16

New International Version

¹⁶The priest shall burn them on the altar^(A) as a food offering,^(B) a pleasing aroma.^(C) All the fat^(D) is the Lord’s.^(E)

King James Version

¹⁶And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the Lord's.

¹⁷“‘This is a lasting ordinance^(A) for the generations to come,^(B) wherever you live:^(C) You must not eat any fat or any blood.^(D)’”

¹⁷It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

²³“Say to the Israelites: ‘Do not eat any of the fat of cattle, sheep or goats.^(A)

²³Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
