12 And they went up, and pitched in Kirjath Jearim in Judah: wherefore they called that place [a]Mahaneh Dan unto this day: and it is behind Kirjath Jearim.

13 And they went thence unto mount Ephraim, and came to the house of Micah.

14 Then answered the five men that went to spy out the country of Laish, and said unto their brethren, [b]Know ye not, that there is in these houses an Ephod, and Teraphim, and a graven and a molten image? Now therefore consider what ye have to do.

12 On their way they set up camp near Kiriath Jearim(A) in Judah. This is why the place west of Kiriath Jearim is called Mahaneh Dan[a](B) to this day. 13 From there they went on to the hill country of Ephraim and came to Micah’s house.(C)

14 Then the five men who had spied out the land of Laish(D) said to their fellow Danites, “Do you know that one of these houses has an ephod,(E) some household gods and an image overlaid with silver?(F) Now you know what to do.”
