¹⁵ If it is evil in your sight to serve Yahweh, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River or ^(A)the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.”

¹⁴ Then he said, “^(A)I have been very zealous for Yahweh, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, pulled down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

^18 (A)Yet I will leave 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not ^(B)kissed him.”

²⁸ Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, “Blessed be the ^(A)God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who has ^(B)sent His angel and saved His servants who put their ^(C)trust in Him, ^[a]violating the king’s word, and gave up their bodies so as ^(D)not to serve and not to worship any god except their own God.
