²⁵ I saw, and behold, there was no man,
And all the ^(A)birds of the sky had fled.

¹⁰ “For the ^(A)mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing,
And for the pastures of the ^(B)wilderness a funeral lamentation,
Because they are ^(C)turned into ruin so that no one passes through,
And the lowing of the cattle is not heard;
Both the ^(D)birds of the sky and the beasts have fled; they are gone.

¹⁷ Though the ^(A)fig tree should not blossom
And there be no produce on the vines,
Though the yield of the ^(B)olive should fail
And the fields yield no food,
Though the ^(C)flock should be cut off from the fold
And there be ^(D)no cattle in the stalls,
