⁸ Then they heard the sound of ^(A)Yahweh God walking in the garden in the ^[a]cool of the day, ^(B)and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh God in the midst of the trees of the garden.

¹⁴ Since ^(A)Yahweh your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to give your enemies over to you, therefore your camp must be ^(B)holy; and He must not see ^[a]anything indecent among you, ^[b]or He will turn away from you.

¹⁶ Or ^(A)what agreement has a ^[a]sanctuary of God with idols? For we are ^(B)a sanctuary of ^(C)the living God; just as God said,
