⁴¹ So Esau ^(A)bore a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him; and Esau said in his heart, “^(B)The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” ⁴² Then the words of her elder son Esau were told to Rebekah. So she sent and called her younger son Jacob and said to him, “Behold, your brother Esau is consoling himself concerning you by planning to kill you.

⁷ Then Jacob was ^(A)greatly afraid and distressed; and he divided the people who were with him, and the flocks and the herds and the camels, into two camps.

^11 (A)Deliver me, I pray, ^(B)from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, lest he come and strike me down with the ^(C)mothers and the children.
