¹⁶ And you shall consume all the peoples whom Yahweh your God will give over to you; ^(A)your eye shall not pity them, nor shall you serve their gods, for that would be ^(B)a snare to you.

²⁷ Then Gideon made it into ^(A)an ephod and placed it in his city, Ophrah, and all Israel played the harlot with it there, so that it became a snare to Gideon and his household.
