¹⁷ Then ^(A)they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and ^(B)practiced divination and omens, and ^(C)sold themselves to do what is evil in the sight of Yahweh, provoking Him to anger.

¹⁵ because they have done what is evil in My sight, and have been provoking Me to anger since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.’”

^19 (A)Do they provoke Me?” declares Yahweh. “Is it not themselves they provoke to the ^(B)shame of their own face?”

³⁰ Indeed the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been doing only ^(A)evil in My sight from their youth; for the sons of Israel have been only ^(B)provoking Me to anger by the work of their hands,” declares Yahweh. ³¹ “Indeed this city has been to Me a ^(C)provocation of My anger and My wrath from the day that they built it, even to this day, so that it should be ^(D)removed from before My face ³² because of all the evil of the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah which they have done to provoke Me to anger—they, their ^(E)kings, their princes, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. ³³ And they have turned their back to Me and not their face; though I taught them, ^(F)rising up early and teaching, they would not listen ^[a]and receive discipline.
