¹⁹Tamar put ashes^(A) on her head and tore the ornate robe she was wearing. She put her hands on her head and went away, weeping aloud as she went.

¹⁹And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

³⁷You will also leave that place
with your hands on your head,^(A)
for the Lord has rejected those you trust;
you will not be helped^(B) by them.

³⁷Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the Lord hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.
