1 Samuel 2:29-31

29 Wherefore have you [a]kicked against my sacrifice and mine offering, which I commanded in my Tabernacle, and honorest thy children above me, to make yourselves fat of the firstfruits of all the offerings of Israel my people?
30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said, that thine house, and the house of thy father should walk before me forever: but now the Lord saith, [b]It shall not be so: for them that honor me, I will honor, and they that despise me, shall be despised.
31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine [c]arm, and the arm of thy fathers house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.
