⁶But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.^(A)

⁶But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

¹⁷In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.^(A)

¹⁷Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

²⁶As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.^(A)
