⁷Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.^(A)

⁷But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

¹²So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit,^(A) try to excel in those that build up^(B) the church.

¹²Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

¹³For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say.^(A)

¹³Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
