40 “चैन द्या, मोरे लोगन क चैन द्या!
तोहार पचन्क परमेस्सर कहत ह।
2 तू यरूसलेम स दाया स बातन करा।
यरूसलेम क बताइ द्या, ‘तोहरी सेवा क समय पूरा होइ चुका।
तू आपन पापन क कीमत दइ दिहे अहा।’
यहोवा यरूसलेम क कीन्ह भए पापन क
दुइ गुणा दण्ड ओका दिहेस ह।”
3 सुना! एक मनई क जोर स गोहरावत भए सुर:
“यहोवा बरे बियाबान मँ एक राह बनावा।
हमार परमेस्सर बरे बियाबान मँ एक रास्ता चौरस करा।
4 हर घाटी क भरि द्या
हर एक पर्वत अउ पहाड़ी क समथर करा।
टेढ़-मेढ़ राहन क सोझ करा।
उबड़-खाबड़ क चौरस बनाइ द्या।
5 तब यहोवा क महिमा परगट होइ।
सब लोग एकट्ठा यहोवा क तेज क लखिहीं।
हाँ, यहोवा खुद इ सबइ कहेस ह।”
6 एक वाणी मुखरित भइ, उ कहेस, “बोला।”
तउ मनई पूछेस, “मइँ का कहउँ?”
वाणी कहेस, “लोग सदा जिअत नाहीं रहिहीं।
उ सबइ रेगिस्ताने क घास क नाई अहइँ।
ओनकर धार्मिकता जंगली फूल क समान अहइ।
7 एक सक्तिसाली आँधी यहोवा कइँती स उ घासे पइ चलत ह,
अउर घास झुराइ जात ह, जंगली फूल नस्ट होइ जात ह।
हाँ सबहिं लोग घास क समान अहइँ।
8 घास मरि जात ह अउर जंगली फूल नस्ट होइ जात ह।
किन्तु हमरे परमेस्सर क बचन सदा बने रहत हीं।”

9 हे, सिय्योन, तोहरे लगे सुसंदेस कहइ क अहइ।
तु पहाड़े पइ चढ़ि जा अउर ऊँचे सुर स ओका गोहरावा।
यरूसलेम, तोहरे लगे एक सुसंदेस कहइ क अहइ।
भयभीत जिन ह्वा, तू ऊँच सुर मँ बोला।
यहूदा क सारे नगरन क तू इ सबइ बातन बताइ द्या:
“लखा, इ रहा तोहार परमेस्सर!”
10 मोर सुआमी यहोवा सक्ति क संग आवत अहइ।
उ आपन सक्ति क उपयोग लोगन पइ सासन करइ मँ लगाइ।
यहोवा आपन लोगन क प्रतिफल देइ।
ओकरे लगे देइ क ओनकर मजदूरी होइ।
11 यहोवा आपन लोगन क वइसे ही अगुवाई करी जइसे कउनो गड़रिया आपन भेड़िन क अगुवाई करत ह।
यहोवा आपन बाहु क काम मँ लिआई अउर आपन भेड़िन क बटोरी।
यहोवा नान्ह भेड़िन क उठाइके गोद मँ थामी, अउर ओनकर महतारिन ओकरे संग संग चलिहीं।
संसार क परमेस्सर रचेस: उ एकर सासक अहइ
12 कउनो अँजुरी मँ भरिके समुद्र क नाप दिहेस?
कउन हाथे स अकास क नाप दिहस?
कउन कटोरा मँ भरिके धरती क सारी धूरि क नाप दिहस?
कउन नापइ क धागा स पर्वतन अउर चोटियन क नाप दिहेस?
इ यहोवा किहे रहा।
13 यहोवा क आतिमा क कउनो मनई इ नाहीं बताएस कि ओका का करब रहा।
यहोवा क कउनो इ नाहीं बताएस कि ओका जउन उ किहेस ह, कइसे करब रहा।
14 का यहोवा कउनो स मदद माँगेस?
का यहोवा क कउनो निस्पच्छता क पाठ पढ़ाएस ह?
का कउनो मनई यहोवा क गियान सिखाएस ह?
का कउनो मनई यहोवा क बुद्धि स काम लेब सिखाएस ह? नाहीं।
एन सबहिं बातन क यहोवा क पहिले ही स गियान अहइ।
15 लखा, जगत क सारे देस गगरी मँ एक नान्ह बूँद जइसे अहइँ।
जदि यहोवा सुदूरवर्ती देसन तलक क लइके आपन तराजू पइ धइ देइ,
तउ उ पचे नान्ह स रजकन जइसे लगिहीं।
16 लबानोन क सारे बृच्छन भी काफी नाहीं अहइ
कि ओनका यहोवा बरे बारा जाइ।
लबानोन क सारे पसु काफी नाहीं अहइँ
कि ओनका ओकर एक बलि बरे मारा जाइ।
17 परमेस्सर क तुलना मँ बिस्व क सबहिं रास्ट्र कछु भी नाहीं अहइँ।
परमेस्सर क तुलना मँ विस्व क सबहिं रास्ट्र बिल्कुल बगैर कीमत क अहइँ।
परमेस्सर का अहइ, लोग कल्पना नाहीं कइ सकतेन
18 का तू परमेस्सर क तुलना कउनो भी चीज स कइ सकत ह? नाहीं।
का तू परमेस्सर क चित्र बनाइ सकत ह? नाहीं।
19 किन्तु कछू लोग अइसे अहइँ जउन पाथर अउर काठे क मूरतियन बनावत हीं
अउर ओनका देवता कहत हीं।
एक कारीगर मूरति क बनावत ह।
फुन दूसर कारीगर ओह पइ सोना मढ़ देत ह अउर ओकरे बरे चाँदी क जंजीरन बनावत ह।
20 तउ उ मनई आधार बरे एक खास तरह क काठ चुनत ह
जउन सड़त नाहीं ह।
तब उ एक अच्छे काठे क कारीगर क हेरत ह।
उ कारीगर एक अइसा देवता बनावत ह जउन लुढ़कत नाहीं ह।
21 निहचय ही, तू पचे फुरइ जानत अहा, बोला?
निहचय ही तू पचे सुन्या ह।
निहचइ ही बहोत पहिले कउनो तू पचन्क बनाएस ह।
निहचइ ही तू पचे जानत अहा कि धरती क कउन बताएस ह।
22 यहोवा ही सच्चा परमेस्सर अहइ। उहइ धरती क चक्र क ऊपर बइठत ह।
ओकर तुलना मँ लोग टिड्डी स लगत हीं।
उ अकासन क कउने कपड़े क टूकन क नाई खोल दिहस।
उ अकासे क ओकरे खाले बइठइ क एक तम्बू क नाई तान दिहस।
23 सच्चा परमेस्सर सासकन क महत्वहीन बनावत ह।
उ इ जगत क निआवकर्त्तन क पूरी तरह बियर्थ बनाइ देत ह।
24 उ सबइ सासक अइसे अहइँ जइसे उ पचे पउधन जेनका धरती मँ रोपा गवा होइ,
किन्तु एहसे पहिले कि उ पचे आपन जड़न धरती मँ जमाइ पावइँ,
परमेस्सर ओनका बहाइ देत ह
अउर उ सबइ झुराइके मरि जात हीं।
आँधी ओनका तिनका सा उड़ाइके लइ जात ह।
25 “का तू कउनो स भी मोर तुलना कइ सकत ह नाहीं।
कउनो भी मोरे बराबर क नाहीं अहइ।”
26 ऊपर अकासन क लखा।
कउन ऍन सबहिं तारन क बनाएस?
कउन उ सबइ अकास क सेना बनाएस?
केका सबहिं तारन नाम-बनाम मालूम अहइँ?
सच्चा परमेस्सर बहोत ही सुदृढ़ अउर सक्तीसाली अहइ
एह बरे कउनो तारा कबहुँ निज मार्ग नाहीं बिसरा।
27 हे याकूब, इ सच अहइ।
हे इस्राएल, तोहका एका बिस्सास करइ चाही।
तउ तू काहे अइसा कहत ह कि “जइसी जिन्नगी मइँ जिअत हउँ ओका यहोवा नाहीं लखि सकत।
परमेस्सर मोका धइ नाहीं पाइ अउर न सजा दइ पाई।”
28 सचमुच तू सुन्या ह
अउर जानत ह कि यहोवा परमेस्सर बुद्धिमान अहइ।
जउन कछू उ जानत ह ओन सबहिं बातन क मनई नाहीं सीख सकत।
यहोवा कबहुँ थकत नाहीं,
ओका कबहुँ विस्राम क जरूरत नाहीं होत।
यहोवा ही सबहिं दूरदराज क ठउर धरती पइ बनाएस।
यहोवा सदा जिअत ह।
29 यहोवा सक्तीहीनन क सक्तीसाली बनइ मँ सहायता देत ह।
उ अइसे ओन लोगन क जेनके लगे सक्ति नाहीं अहइ, प्रेरित करत ह कि उ सक्तीसाली बनइ।
30 नउजवान थक जात हीं अउर ओनका विस्राम क जरूरत पड़जात ह।
हिआँ तलक कि किसोर भी ठोकर खात हीं अउर गिरत हीं।
31 किन्तु उ सबइ जउन यहोवा क भरोसा करत अहइँ आपन सक्ति क प्राप्त कइ लेइ।
उ पचे उँचाई पइ उड़ि ओकर पखना बाज़ क नाई होइ।
उ पचे दौड़ी किन्तु कमज़ोर नाहीं होइ।
उ पचे चली किन्तु थकी नाहीं

Comfort for God’s People
40 Comfort, comfort(A) my people,
says your God.
2 Speak tenderly(B) to Jerusalem,
and proclaim to her
that her hard service(C) has been completed,(D)
that her sin has been paid for,(E)
that she has received from the Lord’s hand
double(F) for all her sins.
3 A voice of one calling:
“In the wilderness prepare
the way(G) for the Lord[a];
make straight(H) in the desert
a highway for our God.[b](I)
4 Every valley shall be raised up,(J)
every mountain and hill(K) made low;
the rough ground shall become level,(L)
the rugged places a plain.
5 And the glory(M) of the Lord will be revealed,
and all people will see it together.(N)
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”(O)
6 A voice says, “Cry out.”
And I said, “What shall I cry?”
“All people are like grass,(P)
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
7 The grass withers(Q) and the flowers fall,
because the breath(R) of the Lord blows(S) on them.
Surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers and the flowers(T) fall,
but the word(U) of our God endures(V) forever.(W)”
9 You who bring good news(X) to Zion,
go up on a high mountain.
You who bring good news to Jerusalem,[c](Y)
lift up your voice with a shout,
lift it up, do not be afraid;
say to the towns of Judah,
“Here is your God!”(Z)
10 See, the Sovereign Lord comes(AA) with power,(AB)
and he rules(AC) with a mighty arm.(AD)
See, his reward(AE) is with him,
and his recompense accompanies him.
11 He tends his flock like a shepherd:(AF)
He gathers the lambs in his arms(AG)
and carries them close to his heart;(AH)
he gently leads(AI) those that have young.(AJ)
12 Who has measured the waters(AK) in the hollow of his hand,(AL)
or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?(AM)
Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket,
or weighed the mountains on the scales
and the hills in a balance?(AN)
13 Who can fathom the Spirit[d](AO) of the Lord,
or instruct the Lord as his counselor?(AP)
14 Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him,
and who taught him the right way?
Who was it that taught him knowledge,(AQ)
or showed him the path of understanding?(AR)
15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket;
they are regarded as dust on the scales;(AS)
he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.(AT)
16 Lebanon(AU) is not sufficient for altar fires,
nor its animals(AV) enough for burnt offerings.
17 Before him all the nations(AW) are as nothing;(AX)
they are regarded by him as worthless
and less than nothing.(AY)
18 With whom, then, will you compare God?(AZ)
To what image(BA) will you liken him?
19 As for an idol,(BB) a metalworker casts it,
and a goldsmith(BC) overlays it with gold(BD)
and fashions silver chains for it.
20 A person too poor to present such an offering
selects wood(BE) that will not rot;
they look for a skilled worker
to set up an idol(BF) that will not topple.(BG)
21 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?(BH)
Has it not been told(BI) you from the beginning?(BJ)
Have you not understood(BK) since the earth was founded?(BL)
22 He sits enthroned(BM) above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.(BN)
He stretches out the heavens(BO) like a canopy,(BP)
and spreads them out like a tent(BQ) to live in.(BR)
23 He brings princes(BS) to naught
and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.(BT)
24 No sooner are they planted,
no sooner are they sown,
no sooner do they take root(BU) in the ground,
than he blows(BV) on them and they wither,(BW)
and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.(BX)
25 “To whom will you compare me?(BY)
Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.(BZ)
26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:(CA)
Who created(CB) all these?
He who brings out the starry host(CC) one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,(CD)
not one of them is missing.(CE)
27 Why do you complain, Jacob?
Why do you say, Israel,
“My way is hidden from the Lord;
my cause is disregarded by my God”?(CF)
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?(CG)
The Lord is the everlasting(CH) God,
the Creator(CI) of the ends of the earth.(CJ)
He will not grow tired or weary,(CK)
and his understanding no one can fathom.(CL)
29 He gives strength(CM) to the weary(CN)
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men(CO) stumble and fall;(CP)
31 but those who hope(CQ) in the Lord
will renew their strength.(CR)
They will soar on wings like eagles;(CS)
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.(CT)
