¹⁴We know that we have passed from death to life,^(A) because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.^(B)

¹⁴We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

¹⁵Anyone who hates a brother or sister^(A) is a murderer,^(B) and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.^(C)

¹⁵Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
